Malta betting sites share a regulator, yet the licence says little about how each site handles a bettor's money. The 4 sportsbooks featured here, IZIBET, Pinnacle, Betinia and Beazt, passed every check on licence, betting rules, withdrawal terms and complaint routes.
Advertising disclosure: we may earn commission from links below. How this works
They still differ on fees, withdrawal caps, cash out and the markets on offer. This review is written for bettors choosing between MGA-licensed sportsbooks.
Each of the 4 sportsbooks below holds an MGA licence with Type 2 approval for fixed-odds betting, including live betting, on its own domain. Each publishes withdrawal terms and names an independent dispute provider in its MGA record.
| Sportsbook | Operator | MGA licence | Withdrawal terms | Complaint escalation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| IZIBET | IZI Interactive Limited | MGA/B2C/345/2016 | No operator fee on listed withdrawal methods | MADRE |
| Pinnacle | PinBet Malta Limited | MGA/B2C/290/2015 | 1 ordinary withdrawal free per calendar month | eCOGRA |
| Betinia | Maltix Limited | MGA/B2C/486/2018 | Caps set by account level, €500 a day at Beginner level | MADRE |
| Beazt | Granturo Malta Ltd | MGA/B2C/1079/2025 | Winnings above €50,000 can be paid in instalments | eCOGRA |
Fees, cash out and processing times depend on the site and the payment method, so each has its own section below. All 4 name an outside dispute body, so the complaints section compares their conditions rather than their routes.
MGA betting sites are sportsbooks run by companies licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority. Fixed-odds sports betting falls under a Type 2 approval, and betting exchanges fall under Type 3. A casino authorisation alone does not cover a sportsbook. Our Malta gaming licence guide explains the wider framework.
A sportsbook brand, the company that contracts with customers and the payment processor can be 3 separate businesses. The company named in the account terms should match the operator in the MGA record for that domain.
On this page, Malta betting sites means services licensed by the MGA, not sites that necessarily accept customers in Malta. The comparison covers each operator's international MGA service and its EUR figures, not separately regulated national versions.
Many MGA sportsbooks share an account with casino games, but bets settle under the sportsbook's own rules, and casino promotions do not automatically apply to sports bets. A shared regulator does not make these bookmakers interchangeable.
Malta sports betting covers far more than football. IZIBET, Pinnacle and Beazt all document esports, Pinnacle takes politics bets, and Beazt has added prediction markets alongside horse racing and virtual sports.
| Sportsbook | Betting beyond football |
|---|---|
| IZIBET | Esports, live betting and virtual games |
| Pinnacle | Basketball, baseball, tennis, hockey, esports, politics and simulated sports |
| Betinia | NBA player props, baseball run lines, hockey and golf |
| Beazt | MMA, esports, horse racing, 2 virtual sports products and prediction markets |
Each product can carry its own rules. Beazt settles horse racing and its Kiron and Betradar virtual sports under separate rule sets, and its prediction markets under its sportsbook supplier Altenar's own terms. Pinnacle's simulated sports are computer simulations streamed on Twitch, and IZIBET's virtual games are a separate product from betting on real events.
A player prop settles on one person's performance, such as an NBA player's points total, and a run line is baseball's handicap market. Neither settles the same way as a match-winner bet. Pinnacle's desktop Live Centre shows up to 4 live games at once.
Each sportsbook had to pass 4 checks before it could appear here.
We also looked for meaningful product differences and clear withdrawal documentation, so this is a shortlist rather than a ranking of every Malta bookmaker. Our licence checks used the MGA Licensee Register and URL Checker, following the steps in our methodology. Unlike Regulon's casino reviews, this page did not open accounts, place bets or test apps, so every processing time here is the operator's own figure. Checks were completed on 21 October 2026.
Our licensing desk found that each domain appears in an MGA record under the same company named in its terms. That match shows who holds the licence for each website, not how reliably a site pays.
IZI Interactive Limited runs IZIBET under MGA licence MGA/B2C/345/2016, issued on 1 August 2016. The MGA record covers izibet.com alongside dragonara.com, izibingo.mt and lottery.mt, and approves EveryMatrix as its sportsbook supplier. IZI Interactive belongs to IZIGROUP, which describes itself as Malta's largest land-based gaming operator and owns National Lottery.
Its payments page lists no operator fee on any card, wallet or bank withdrawal, with a €20 minimum. Maximum winnings are €20,000 a bet for singles and multiples and €50,000 for system bets, which cap winnings rather than daily withdrawals. Its timing figures disagree across its own help pages, as the processing section shows. Unresolved complaints go to MADRE free of charge, and IZIBET says MADRE's decision binds both sides. IZIBET suits bettors who want no operator withdrawal fees, provided they accept inconsistent timing figures and a €20,000 cap on ordinary bet winnings.
PinBet Malta Limited runs Pinnacle under MGA licence MGA/B2C/290/2015, and the record covers pinnacle.bet only. Its terms refer to Pinnacle services run by other companies, so terms from another Pinnacle domain do not apply here. Pinnacle dates from 1998, first received an MGA licence in 2015 and withdrew its Gambling Commission application in 2018.
Its help centre says it offers no bonuses or rebates, and confirmed bets cannot be cashed out. Each calendar month 1 ordinary withdrawal is free, a deposit not wagered once can face a 5% charge, and idle accounts pay 2% or €5 a month after 12 months. Its terms say Pinnacle may bet for its own account using information it does not show customers. They also cap its liability at €500 or the bet's value, whichever is lower. Bet disputes must reach it within 3 days of settlement, before eCOGRA. Pinnacle suits bettors who want plain prices without promotional conditions, provided they accept no cash out, fees after the first monthly withdrawal and a short dispute window.
Maltix Limited runs Betinia under MGA licence MGA/B2C/486/2018, and the record covers betinia.com. Betinia launched in 2020, and its footer gives the licence's validity as running to 12 December 2028. National versions of Betinia, such as its Danish and Swedish sites, run under sister companies and are not covered here.
Its international sportsbook offers NBA points, rebounds and assists markets alongside baseball run lines, hockey and golf. EUR wallet deposits start at €10. Withdrawal caps depend on account level: a Beginner can withdraw €500 a day and €7,000 a month, rising to €1,500 a day and €20,000 a month at Legend level. Its Bet Builder Insurance pays a conditional free bet, not a cash refund. Betinia promises a complaint acknowledgement within 24 hours and a response within 10 days, before MADRE. Betinia suits bettors who want player markets and bet builders, provided they accept low withdrawal caps at entry level.
Granturo Malta Ltd runs Beazt under MGA licence MGA/B2C/1079/2025, issued on 10 September 2025. The same record covers 7 other Wildz Group sites, including Wildz, Wheelz and Caxino, and approves Altenar as the sportsbook supplier. Support runs in English and Finnish, and the site has separate Finnish and Canadian versions. Its terms' inactivity clause still names Wildz rather than Beazt.
Its Multi Boost starts at 3 eligible selections priced at 1.20 or more, adding 2.5% with no rollover on the boost. Certain boosted-odds and each-way bets are excluded, and each extra selection is another outcome that must win. Beazt also runs 0% margin prices on selected pre-match markets, and early payout offers that settle a pre-match bet once the backed team leads by a set margin. Winnings above €50,000 can be paid in instalments, each bet slip's winnings are capped at €100,000, and unresolved complaints go to eCOGRA. Beazt suits bettors already planning eligible accumulators, provided they accept a brand with no track record of its own and instalment terms on large wins.
| Bettor need | Our pick | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| No operator fee on withdrawals | IZIBET | None on its listed card, wallet and bank methods |
| System bets with a higher winnings cap | IZIBET | €50,000 on system bets, against €20,000 on singles and multiples |
| Betting without bonus conditions | Pinnacle | No bonuses or rebates, so no wagering attached |
| NBA player markets and bet builders | Betinia | Points, rebounds and assists markets, plus Bet Builder Insurance |
| Published accumulator-boost rules | Beazt | 2.5% boost from 3 selections at 1.20 or more, with no rollover on the boost |
| Cash out on pre-match and live bets | Beazt | Available unless a market is suspended or a selection is priced above 30 |
Our position is that none of the 4 is a pick for readers in Great Britain, because an MGA licence does not authorise betting services there. For bettors elsewhere, the licence does not separate these Malta betting sites. Withdrawal caps, fees and cash out do. We would start with IZIBET where withdrawal costs matter most, and would not pick Betinia for moving a large balance quickly while an account sits at Beginner level. Confirm first that the site accepts players from your country. Our guide to restricted countries under a Malta gaming licence explains how those lists work.
None of these picks establishes the best live odds or the fastest actual payout, which would need simultaneous price checks and payment testing.
A licence check needs to cover the exact website as well as its operator. The MGA Licensee Register shows the company and its approvals, and the MGA URL Checker shows whether a domain is covered. So the domain shown in the browser needs to appear in the record, not just the company name.
Pinnacle shows why the domain matters. The record checked here covers pinnacle.bet, so terms from another Pinnacle domain should not be read as its MGA terms.
A licence held by a related company does not automatically cover every website in its group. Each website needs its own match in the record.
A new brand, a rebrand and an existing casino adding a sportsbook are different things. A new MGA betting site counts as launched only once customers can actually place bets, so a recent licence does not mark opening day. For a new bookmaker, published sports rules, complaint procedures and working account controls matter more than a promised app, because they decide how bets settle and disputes run. An established operator's history gives context, but it is no payment record for the new website. Regulon applies the same checks to casino launches, and its findings on each new Malta online casino are here.
Eligibility depends on local law and on each operator's own restrictions. Residence and physical location can both count, including while travelling. Pinnacle's terms list around 40 restricted countries and territories, including the UK, the US, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. Beazt accepts only residents of its listed registration countries, and IZIBET only residents of jurisdictions where its service is not prohibited.
Pinnacle treats any attempt to get round its restrictions as a material breach, and Beazt can close an account it finds using a VPN. A working website or sign-up form does not establish eligibility, and an MGA licence does not mean a brand accepts customers in Malta.
Sports betting can also be treated differently from online casino play in the same country. For a sportsbook, the sports betting rule is the one that decides.
An MGA licence does not authorise online betting services for consumers in Great Britain. The service needs a Gambling Commission licence, and the operators it licenses are listed in the Gambling Commission public register. Pinnacle names the UK among its restricted countries. Great Britain means England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland has a separate legal framework, so the Commission's rules do not cover every part of the UK in the same way. Online casinos face the same licensing rule, and Malta casinos accepting UK players are covered in this guide.
Prices compare fairly only when the selections match and are taken at about the same time. A football match-result bet normally covers 90 minutes plus stoppage time, while a to-qualify bet can include extra time and penalties. A team can draw in normal time and still go through, and Beazt's rules spell that distinction out.
The table shows how price changes the return on a winning bet.
| Bet | Stake | Odds | Return if it wins | Profit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Single | €20 | 1.90 | €38 | €18 |
| Single | €20 | 2.00 | €40 | €20 |
Returns include the stake. A better price raises the return on a winning bet, not its chance of winning.
In a 2-way market priced at 1.90 on each side, each price implies a probability of about 52.63 per cent. Together the 2 sides total 105.26 per cent, an overround of about 5.26 percentage points. That figure is the bookmaker's pricing margin across the market. A football match-result market has 3 outcomes, so the draw belongs in the same sum.
A retirement can settle the same bet in opposite ways. Suppose Player A retires after the first set is complete and Player B goes through.
| Sportsbook | Match-winner rule | Result of a bet on Player A |
|---|---|---|
| Pinnacle | Bets stand once at least 1 set is complete | Loses |
| Betinia | Retirement before the match is complete voids the market | Stake returned |
| Beazt | Retirement voids the match-winner market | Stake returned |
Markets already decided, such as a completed set, may still stand. Pinnacle also has tie-break exceptions for match handicaps and totals in certain doubles and ITF matches. The accepted bet ticket and the market wording show which rule applied, so keep both.
Multiples do not share a single refund rule. In a Pinnacle standard teaser, a void or tied selection is removed and the payout is recalculated on the selections left. Beazt's teaser works the other way, because a single void selection voids the whole bet even when the rest win.
| Bet | Rule | Result with 1 void leg and the rest winning |
|---|---|---|
| Pinnacle standard teaser | Void or tied leg removed | Paid on the remaining legs, unless only 1 is left |
| Pinnacle 2-leg teaser or Super Teaser | Any void or tie voids the bet | Stake returned |
| Beazt teaser | Any void leg voids the bet | Stake returned |
Pinnacle also caps accumulated winnings on multiples at $250,000 a calendar day, while Beazt caps each bet slip at €100,000. The accepted bet ticket shows which product and rule set applied when the bet was placed, so keep it.
Cash out is conditional wherever it exists, and 1 of the 4 offers none at all. A cash-out figure on screen is an offer to settle early, not money already withdrawn, and it counts only once accepted.
| Sportsbook | Cash out covers | Exclusions and limits |
|---|---|---|
| IZIBET | Not described in its help centre | Check the bet slip before relying on it |
| Pinnacle | No cash out | Confirmed bets cannot be settled early |
| Betinia | Offered on eligible bets | A cashed-out bet loses Bet Builder Insurance eligibility |
| Beazt | Pre-match and live bets | Not on suspended markets, selections priced above 30, risk-free bets or accounts flagged for abuse |
Beazt's rules add that cashed-out bets do not count towards bonus wagering, and that its cash-out margin can be adjusted for individual players.
Live betting adds a timing risk. Pinnacle says in-play bets can face a short acceptance delay, and both Pinnacle and Beazt can void in-play bets affected by a VAR decision. The final accepted odds on the ticket are the ones that count, not the price first displayed.
A sportsbook reward has value only when its conditions fit bets you were already planning to make. Pinnacle offers no bonuses at all, which makes it a useful baseline: judge the bet itself before the reward. Casino bonuses work differently again, and our Malta online casinos guide covers them.
When the promotional stake is not returned, a winning free bet pays only the profit.
| Bet at odds of 3.00 | Stake | Return if it wins |
|---|---|---|
| Free bet, stake not returned | €10 | €20 |
| Cash bet | €10 | €30, including the stake |
A €10 free bet is worth less than €10 of withdrawable cash. At Beazt, sports free bets need odds of at least 1.80 and must sit in a single bet slip, but their net winnings are withdrawable at once with no further wagering.
Beazt's sports welcome bonus matches a first deposit by 100% up to €100, from a €10 deposit, with 6x wagering on the bonus amount at minimum bet-slip odds of 1.60. Its casino welcome offer has different conditions. Real money is used first, and only bonus-money bets count towards wagering, up to €5 per bet.
| Wagering requirement | Basis | Amount to stake |
|---|---|---|
| 6x the bonus | €50 bonus | €300, in at least 60 bets of €5 |
That assumes enough bonus balance survives to finish the requirement, which is not a prediction of profit. The general terms allow 60 days to use a claimed reward, unless an offer says otherwise.
Betinia's Bet Builder Insurance needs a real-money bet of at least €20 with 4 or more selections at combined odds of 2.00 or more. If exactly 1 selection loses and the rest win, it pays a €20 free bet. Void or cashed-out bets do not qualify.
The reward must be claimed through support after settlement and activated within 72 hours of receipt. Its winnings carry 3x wagering at minimum odds of 1.50 within 30 days, and an active withdrawal request before the reward arrives removes eligibility. That makes it a conditional free bet, not a refund of the original stake.
Wagering is money staked rather than a one-off fee, and losses can build up while completing it. Do not raise your normal spending to clear a bonus.
A deposit method does not always come with a matching withdrawal route. The time a withdrawal takes and what it costs both depend on the method chosen. Checking the withdrawal side first avoids surprises over minimums, fees and delivery.
Withdrawal time has 3 parts, approval, processing and delivery, and every figure below is the operator's own.
| Sportsbook | Processing time, in the operator's words | Verification |
|---|---|---|
| IZIBET | Validation up to 48 hours, then minutes for wallets. Cards 1 to 3 business days, bank transfers 3 to 5 days | Documents may be requested before release |
| Pinnacle | Typically minutes to 1 hour. Cards can take up to 5 banking days to appear | Extra checks reserved for withdrawals above €2,000 |
| Betinia | Within 3 business days, plus any provider delay | Source-of-funds checks permitted |
| Beazt | Approved or denied within 3 days. Bank arrival 1 to 3 business days after approval | Extra checks above €2,000, single or cumulative |
These figures describe different stages, so they are not a speed ranking. Our payments desk found 3 different IZIBET review times. Its withdrawal FAQ says up to 48 hours, while its Skrill and Neteller FAQs say up to 3 business days. Its payments page also gives cards 1 to 4 days, against 1 to 3 in its FAQ.
IZIBET's €50,000 upper payment figure has no stated period, so it is not a daily allowance. At every site, outstanding checks on identity, address or payment ownership can hold a withdrawal before processing begins.
Article 29 of the MGA Player Protection Directive requires withdrawals to be remitted within 5 working days where practicable, allowing for reasonably necessary checks. That is not a guarantee that money reaches a bank within 5 days.
Article 30 protects deposited money from withdrawal restrictions, subject to anti-money-laundering and crime-prevention measures, and bars unreasonable restrictions. An operator's published condition is not automatically endorsed by the MGA.
Pinnacle reserves a 5% charge, plus any withdrawal fee, on a deposit not wagered at least once, and can refuse the withdrawal. Betinia requires 1x wagering of deposits in its withdrawal terms, and Beazt requires a deposit to be sufficiently wagered. These are operator conditions, not MGA requirements.
Applied as blanket barriers to returning deposits, these rules sit in apparent tension with Article 30, though no breach is asserted here. Do not place unwanted bets to unlock money or avoid a charge. Ask the operator in writing for its reason and repayment procedure.
Bet and withdrawal limits come in 3 kinds that are easy to confuse.
With a €2,000 balance and Betinia's €500 Beginner daily cap, clearing the balance takes at least 4 days before processing delays. Beazt can pay winnings above €50,000 in instalments of up to €10,000 a day, €25,000 a week or €100,000 a month, with possible VIP exceptions. Its €100,000 per-slip winnings cap is a separate limit, as are IZIBET's €20,000 and €50,000 maximum-win figures.
Fees and minimums vary by site and payment method.
| Sportsbook | Minimum withdrawal | Fees in the operator's terms |
|---|---|---|
| IZIBET | €20 | None on listed methods |
| Pinnacle | None on the free monthly withdrawal | 1 ordinary withdrawal free each month, then method-dependent fees |
| Betinia | Generally €10, with method exceptions | Reasonable transaction charges may apply, with advance notice |
| Beazt | €20 | Any fee shown before confirmation |
Idle accounts can also cost money. Pinnacle charges 2% or €5 a month, whichever is greater, after 12 months without activity, and Beazt may charge €5 a month after 12 months without a login. Pinnacle also reserves a €60 fee for each chargeback. Provider charges and currency conversion can reduce the amount received further.
IZIBET's IZI App runs on iOS and Android, but it serves shop betting, letting customers prepare, track and collect retail tickets, and is separate from the online account. Pinnacle has no native app and works in a mobile browser with a home-screen shortcut, though its 4-game Multi View is desktop only. Betinia offers an Android package from its own website, which does not show App Store or Google Play availability. Beazt runs as a mobile website with a one-tap 24-hour block on its pages, and its payment options still depend on your country.
When comparing Malta betting apps or mobile sites, the accepted bet receipt, full market rules, withdrawal controls and spending limits matter more than an install shortcut. After an interrupted bet submission, check your ticket history before trying again, because a repeat attempt could place a second bet.
All 4 sites require a complaint to go through the operator's formal process first. After that, each names an independent dispute provider in its MGA record.
| Sportsbook | Next step after the operator | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| IZIBET | MADRE | Free of charge, with a decision binding on both sides |
| Pinnacle | eCOGRA | Bet disputes within 3 days of settlement; reply intended within 10 days |
| Betinia | MADRE | Acknowledgement within 24 hours, response within 10 days, extendable by 10 more |
| Beazt | eCOGRA | Outcome within 10 days, extendable by 10 more |
Our complaints desk flags a limit on the regulator route. The MGA complaint form covers matters within the MGA's remit, but it does not replace the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider named in the operator's terms.
A deposit limit set before your first bet is already in place before any losses can build up. MGA rules make a stricter limit apply at once, while loosening one takes at least 24 hours. Count money tied up in unsettled bets as already spent.
Winnings staked again and again can build large turnover without another deposit. GAMSTOP blocks only sites licensed by the Gambling Commission, so it doesn't stop access to the international MGA services compared here. If you've self-excluded, opening another account to get round it would undo that protection, so don't do it. Gambling involves losses and is not a dependable income, so stop at your limit rather than betting to win back losses.
18+. Gambling can be addictive, so set a deposit limit before you play and take regular breaks. For free, confidential support, contact GamCare. To block access to all UK-licensed gambling sites, register with GAMSTOP.
An MGA licence alone does not make a sportsbook safe or reliable. What counts is a licence record matching the exact domain and the account-terms company, clear withdrawal and fee rules, and a named dispute provider. A licence match shows who is responsible for a site, not how reliably it pays.
That depends on how you bet and pay. IZIBET lists no operator withdrawal fees, Pinnacle carries no bonus conditions, Betinia covers NBA player markets and Beazt publishes its accumulator-boost rules. None of these comparisons establishes the best odds or the fastest payout.
Not on the strength of an MGA licence. Consumers in Great Britain need a service licensed by the Gambling Commission, and the domain should appear on its public register.
That depends on the tax rules where you live, not on where the sportsbook is licensed. An MGA licence does not change a bettor's own tax position. In the UK, individuals do not pay tax on betting winnings.
Not all of them. Pinnacle has no cash out, and Beazt offers it on pre-match and live bets with exclusions. Where cash out exists, it can disappear when prices move or a market is suspended.
First check whether verification, operator processing or provider delivery is pending, because each stage takes its own time. Send support a written complaint with the payment reference and ask for a written final response. If it stays unresolved, use the dispute provider named in the terms.
No. Article 29 of the Player Protection Directive requires remittance within 5 working days where practicable, allowing for necessary checks. Card or bank delivery can take longer after that.
Some do. Pinnacle charges 2% or €5 a month, whichever is greater, once an account has been inactive for 12 months. Beazt may charge €5 a month after 12 months without a login. Withdrawing an unused balance avoids both.
