Terms and Conditions

Updated

These terms govern your use of regulon.co.uk. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

Who we are

Regulon is a publisher and comparison site. We are not licensed by the Gambling Commission or by any other gambling authority. We do not operate games, accept wagers, hold customer funds or act as an agent for any operator. Nothing on this site is an offer to gamble.

Who may use this site

You may use this site only if you are at least eighteen years old and it is lawful for you to access gambling information where you are.

The site is written for readers in the United Kingdom. Gambling law differs sharply between countries, and if you access this site from elsewhere you are responsible for whether doing so, and acting on it, is lawful where you are.

If you have self excluded through GamStop or through any operator’s own scheme, this site is not intended to help you find a route around that. We explain how the scheme works and which licences it covers because that is a factual matter people deserve to understand. Treating it as a workaround is not what the information is for.

What this site is, and what it is not

Regulon publishes information about gambling licences and the casinos that hold them, based on regulators’ published registers, the regulations themselves, and our own testing. Our methodology sets out how that is done.

It is general information. It is not legal advice, financial advice, tax advice, or a recommendation that you gamble. Gambling involves the risk of losing money, and no comparison on this site changes that or is intended to suggest otherwise.

Any example involving tax is general and does not account for your circumstances. If your position is unusual, take professional advice.

Accuracy, and its limits

We check claims against primary sources and date them, because licensing changes and an undated claim ages badly.

Even so, information on this site may become out of date between our checks. Licences lapse, operators are suspended, bonus terms are rewritten and restricted country lists are edited without announcement. We make no warranty that everything on the site is accurate, complete or current at the moment you read it.

Before depositing anywhere, check the operator’s licence on the regulator’s own register and read the current terms on the operator’s site. That advice is in our methodology too, and it applies to our pages as much as to anyone else’s.

Commercial relationships

We receive commission from some of the operators listed when a reader signs up through our links. This is disclosed in full in our affiliate disclosure.

Commission does not determine whether a casino is listed, where it appears, what rating it receives, or whether criticism of it is published. Our editorial decisions are made independently of our commercial arrangements, and we would rather lose a partner than a reader.

Other websites

This site links to casino operators, regulators, support organisations and other third parties. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, their terms, their privacy practices or how they treat you.

A link is not an endorsement of everything on the destination site. Your dealings with any operator are between you and that operator, and the operator’s own terms govern them. We are not a party to that relationship and cannot intervene in it.

Intellectual property

The content of this site, including text, comparisons, ratings, structure and design, belongs to us or is used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other rights.

You may read, print and share pages for your own personal, non commercial use. You may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link to the source page.

You may not republish substantial parts of the site, scrape it systematically, use it to train machine learning systems, or present our material as your own, without written permission.

Third party trademarks, including operator and regulator names, belong to their owners and are used for identification only.

Acceptable use

You must not use this site unlawfully, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, or collect data from it by automated means without permission.

Where the site allows you to submit content, you must not submit anything unlawful, defamatory, abusive or infringing, and we may remove submissions at our discretion.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

Subject to that, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of this site or from reliance on information published on it, including gambling losses, losses caused by an operator, losses from a casino refusing or delaying a withdrawal, losses from an account being closed or restricted, or any indirect or consequential loss.

We make the site available free of charge and provide it as it is, without warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error free.

Gambling responsibly

Gambling should stay entertainment, and it stops being entertainment the moment it becomes a way to solve a money problem.

If gambling is causing harm to you or someone close to you, GamCare offers free confidential advice and runs the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, the NHS runs specialist gambling clinics in England that you can refer yourself to, and GamStop lets you self exclude from every casino licensed by the Gambling Commission in one step.

Complaints

If you have a complaint about this site, write to complaints@regulon.co.uk. We will acknowledge within five working days and respond substantively within twenty.

A complaint about an operator must go to that operator and then, where the licence allows, to its regulator. We cannot resolve it for you and have no authority to try.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom may bring proceedings in their own jurisdiction.
