Privacy Policy
Updated
This policy explains what Regulon does with personal data, written in plain terms rather than in the compressed legal register these documents usually arrive in. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it.
Who controls your data
We are the data controller for personal data collected through regulon.co.uk.
For any privacy matter, contact privacy@regulon.co.uk.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you email us, we hold what you send, which is normally your name, your email address and the content of your message. The site has no contact form, no newsletter and no subscription.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our web server records a standard log entry for each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the page you came from if your browser sends it, and the browser and device type your browser reports. Requests reach us through Cloudflare, which processes the same technical data to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure. We do not run analytics, and the logs are not used to identify you personally.
Affiliate click data. When you follow an affiliate link on this site, you pass through a regulon.co.uk/go/ address and we send you on to the operator or its affiliate network. That network records the click, and may set its own cookies, so the operator can attribute the referral to us. On our side the click appears only in the ordinary server log described above. This is how we are paid, and it is explained in full in our affiliate disclosure.
What we never collect. We do not ask for or hold payment card details, bank details, identity documents, or any record of your gambling activity. We have no account system, we hold no funds, and once you leave this site for an operator we have no visibility of what you do there.
Why we process it, and on what basis
UK data protection law requires a lawful basis for each purpose. Ours are as follows.
To run the site, including security and fixing faults. Our legitimate interest in operating a functioning and secure website, balanced against the limited intrusion involved.
To answer your messages. Our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or the steps necessary to deal with your request.
To pass affiliate referrals to operators. Our legitimate interest in being paid for referrals. Sending you on involves no personal data on our side beyond the server log entry for the click, and any cookies the operator or its affiliate network sets are covered by its own privacy and cookie policies.
To meet legal obligations, including accounting records and responding to lawful requests.
Cookies and tracking
Regulon sets no cookies for visitors. There is no analytics, no advertising tracker and no cookie banner, because there is nothing to ask your consent for.
When you confirm that you are 18 or over, your browser remembers that answer in its own local storage, so the question is not repeated on every page. It stays on your device, it is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser’s settings.
The fonts are served from our own server, so reading a page does not contact a font service or any other third party for content.
When you follow an affiliate link, you leave regulon.co.uk for the operator or its affiliate network, which may set its own cookies to attribute the referral to us. Those cookies belong to that site and are covered by its own policies. Declining them there does not change what you can read here, how this site is ordered, or what you pay, which is nothing either way.
You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data and we never will.
We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract: Hostinger International Limited, which hosts the server the site runs on, Cloudflare, Inc., which delivers the site through its network and protects it from attacks, and our email provider, which stores the messages you send us. Each is bound to process data only on our instructions.
Operators and affiliate networks are not our processors. When you follow an affiliate link you deal with them directly, and they handle what they collect under their own privacy policies.
We will disclose data where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.
Transfers outside the UK
Some providers are based outside the United Kingdom: Hostinger in Cyprus, in the European Union, and Cloudflare in the United States. Where data is transferred, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on the International Data Transfer Agreement, so that your data keeps an equivalent level of protection.
How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept for two years after the matter is closed, unless it relates to a legal claim or a complaint, in which case we keep it for as long as needed.
Server access logs are deleted after 14 days.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to be told what we hold about you and to receive a copy, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to processing, to receive data in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that has already happened.
To use any of these, write to privacy@regulon.co.uk. We will respond within one month and tell you promptly if a request is complex enough to need longer. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, which supervises data protection in the United Kingdom. We would rather you came to us first, but the right is yours either way.
Age
This site is intended for adults aged eighteen or over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under eighteen, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it.
Links to other sites
This site links to casino operators, regulators and support organisations. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies and we have no control over it. We are not responsible for how other operators handle your data, which is worth remembering before you register anywhere.
Changes
We update this policy when our processing changes or the law does. The date at the top shows the current version, and we will flag material changes on the site rather than hoping you check.
